NSUJL has a network of 450+ members across the country and our members are the driving force behind our organization. NSUJL members range from persons looking to strictly contribute financially, to members who want to visit with families, deliver home-cooked meals and provide ongoing support. Members of NSUJL also show up at events across the country, representing NSUJL and encouraging donations and fostering relationships.
Who joins NSUJL? ANYONE! There are no requirements to join (aside from being 18+) and because of this, a member does not even need to be affiliated or associated with the field of line work in order to join. Active/Retired Military and NSUJL beneficiaries receive an NSUJL membership at no cost. Anyone who wants to make a difference in the world & help to fulfill the mission of assisting fallen and injured lineworkers and their families can join NSUJL!
What does an NSUJL membership do? First of all, it is imperative to note that an injured/fallen lineworker does NOT need to be an NSUJL member to receive benefits in the event of a work-related accident. Membership is also not required to volunteer. Membership dues, which are a small yearly fee, are donations that are used to assist families. Just holding a membership helps to make a difference in the lives of fellow brothers and sisters.
What are the benefits of an NSUJL membership for you personally? NSUJL members enjoy perks exclusive to members, including discounts to a variety of line-related stores, including the NSUJL store on our website. NSUJL members are also involved in the direction and governance of NSUJL: members receive voting rights at our annual meetings, including yearly nominations and elections of officers and directors. And lastly, NSUJL members have the feeling of doing GOOD and helping fellow lineworkers and families in need!
To those of you who are already members, THANK YOU! To those of you who would like to sign up to be a member, please visit MemberPlanet. And, if you have any questions about our membership or want to become more involved, contact us!
