NSUJL Begins 2014 with Mixture of Sorrow and Joy

  • by

The National Sisterhood United for Journeymen Linemen begins 2014 with both sorrow and joy. In staying true to their Mission, NSUJL has already assisted multiple families that were victim to on the job accidents leading to injury and sadly enough, fatalities. This year NSUJL has also added an additional support group, ‘Sister to Sister’. This support group consists entirely of wives of Linemen that were injured or loss their life while on the job. We think this is going to be a great addition to NSUJL and better enable us to fulfill our Mission of providing emotional support and well as financial. But, as I said, 2014 has also brought NSUJL some overwhelming joys as well. We look forward to some amazing speaking engagements this year. While it is not part of our Mission to ‘spread the word’ about the trade in general; It is imperative that as many IBEW Locals and their families are aware of our presence. Our Mission is assisting injured/fallen IBEW members and their families, when our Brothers and Sisters know we are here, they know where to turn.2014 also brought NSUJL great recognition thru an article published in the IBEW Electrical Worker. This article beautifully highlights our story and our purpose. The response to this article has been more than we could have ever imagined. Our membership is now growing by leaps and bounds – further enabling us to help as many families as possible. So, here’s to another successful year for the Sisterhood. If you know of a Brother or Sister in need of our help, please let us know. As always, ‘Honor the Brotherhood, Support the Sisterhood’.
