Fundraiser

As more and more events are becoming cancelled due to Covid-19, NSUJL is having to find alternative ways to fundraise.  Historically NSUJL participates in a Yankee Candle Fundraiser each Fall.  This year, however, NSUJL is also able to offer a Spring/Summer Yankee Candle fundraiser as a way for those who wish to purchase Yankee Candle products support their favorite non-profit!  Visit https://www.yankeecandlefundraising.com/store.htm and enter in the code 999998989 as the Group Number.

Yankee Candle

Yankee Candle was started during Christmas of 1969.  Sixteen-year-old Mike Kittredge, too broke to buy his mother a present, melted some crayons to make her a candle. A neighbor saw it and convinced Mike to sell the candle to her. With that small stake, he bought enough wax to make two candles—one for his mom, and another to sell. That was the birth of Yankee Candle.

Today, Yankee Candle employs more than 6,000 skilled, dedicated workers around the world. Their candles and accessories can be found in a nationwide base of over 475 company-owned retail stores and at Authorized Yankee Candle Retailers throughout the United States.
