Adopt a tree and help us grow!
Earth Day is on April 22nd, and this year we want to give back to the Earth by planting an abundance of trees. Why adopt a tree? Trees have so many benefits for all of us! Trees provide us with oxygen, keep our air clean, and help control stormwater and erosion. Trees can also provide shade, as well as cover & habitats for wildlife. In our case, trees can also help us remember our loved ones – when you adopt a tree from NSUJL, we will plant your tree at the Legacy for Lineworkers Memorial in Freeland, PA.
You can choose to adopt a tree from one of seven varieties for a $50 donation. Tree varieties include Hybrid Poplar, Tulip Poplar, Quaking Aspen, October Glory Maple, Autumn Blaze Red Maple, American Red Maple and Pin Oak. Trees will be planted throughout the property & tended to for years to come. Each tree includes a plaque that you can customize with any inscription – memorialize a loved one, honor a brother or sister, say “Thank you!” to our lineworkers, or anything else that’s important to you. In the meantime, you’ll benefit Mother Nature by combatting climate change, as well as helping us create beautiful scenery around the memorial with the greens, reds, oranges and golds of our native Pennsylvania trees!
