Joseph Michael “Mike” Lauze Jr, born February 8, 1973 passed away in the early morning of May 19th. Mike attended Farmington Schools and graduated from Farmington High School in 1992. He entered into the Northeastern Joint Apprenticeship Program in October of 2001 and graduated to Journeyman Lineman on August 9, 2004. Mike was known best by his family and friends as someone who could fix or build almost anything and was always willing to put others first and help out in any way he could. He would always tell you that everything he knew how to fix, he learned because he broke it first and fixed it afterward. There was never a time anyone called for his help and he didn’t show up. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and there were few things he enjoyed more than floating in a boat with a line in the water or sitting in tree stand waiting for his shot. He was also an animal lover, especially of dogs, German Shepherds in particular. He always liked to joke that he would stop getting Shepherds when they stopped making them. Mike was a proud member of IBEW Local 104 for just over 15 years. He loved the trade he worked in and the feeling of accomplishment that putting in a hard day’s work, getting the job done well and making sure he and his crew went home safely each day. He also looked forward to sharing what he knew with the apprentices and helping them progress in the trade. Above anything else though he loved the people he worked with and the brotherhood that he found with Local 104. He is survived by his Parents Joseph Michael “Mike” Sr. and Bonnie Lauze; Brother John Lauze and his wife Nikoll; Bother Jason Lauze and his wife Stacy; Nieces and Nephews Olivia, Lindsey, Ben and Sam whom he adored beyond belief; Girlfriend Brittany Scott; Countless Aunts and Uncles as well as more friends than most are lucky enough to have. He is preceded in death by his Grandparents Joseph and Myra Lauze and Joseph and Mary MacAllister as well as his faithful companions Jerry and Doza. Mike will be missed greatly by all. Calling hours will be Monday May 23rd from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Peaslee Funeral Home, 24 Central Street, Farmington, NH. There will be a private graveside service at Pine Grove Cemetery in Farmington, NH at a later date. In Lieu of Flowers, donations can be made on Mike’s behalf to either of the charities listed below: Cocheco Valley Humane Society, an all breed shelter and rescue organization located in Dover, New Hampshire. – http://www.cvhsonline.org/ NSUJL, a nonprofit organization dedicated to assisting fallen or injured IBEW Journeymen Linemen, Utility Linemen. – https://nsujl.org/
