John “John T” Henry Tuttle, 79, a resident of Grain Valley, MO passed away on Friday, January 4, 2019 at his home. He was born on June 26, 1939 in California, MO to Herman and Edna (Kiesling) Tuttle.

John was united in marriage to Brenda Caroll Roberts on September 20, 1959 in El Dorado Springs, MO. He worked as a Journeyman Lineman and is one of “The Legends of IBEW Local 53” in Kansas City, MO. He was a member of the Blue Springs Elks Lodge #2509 and was a Mason. John enjoyed driving his tractor, watching his cattle, and making wine. When he was younger, he enjoyed traveling, camping at various lakes, and teaching people how to water ski. “John T” was extremely proud of his entire family.

Survived by his children: Margaret Howerton (Keith Higginbotham) of Mayview, MO; Darla Anwander (Bruce) of Blue Springs, MO; Joseph Tuttle (Julie Stockton) of Oak Grove, MO; Jonetta Stewart of Kansas City, MO; Melissa Fouts (Chad) of Holden, MO; his grandchildren: Monica Anwander (Annie Kessler), Brett and Hillary Anwander, Jessica Tuttle, John Fouts, Frank Fouts, Crystal and Gary Carver, Jennifer and Shamus Nutter, Michael and Nicole Higginbotham, Levi Walker, and Marshall Walker; his great-great grandchildren: Benson Anwander, Brielle Anwander, Tressa Carver, Taylor Carver, Austin Carver, Tyler Nutter, Khloe Nutter, Tucker Higginbotham, and Addilyn Higginbotham; his sisters: Sally Vogel (Bill) and Joyce Crook (Chuck) all of California, MO; and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife, Brenda Tuttle; his parents Herman and Edna Tuttle; his sisters, Betty Rohrbach and Donna Ferguson; and his brothers, Gene Tuttle and Paul Tuttle.

The family will receive friends and family from 5-7:00 pm on Monday, January 7, 2019 at the First Christian Church of Blue Springs, 701 N.W. 15th St, Blue Springs, MO. Funeral service will be 10:00 am on Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at the church. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the National Sisterhood United for Journeymen Linemen.
