Hello Brothers and Sisters,

First, I want to thank all of you for reaching out to me and my family, either by phone, text, email, cards, and flowers on the passing of my father, Franklin D. Eaton (D400607) on December 3, 2021. Let me just say, that your heartfelt condolences are overwhelming, and we are so thankful for your love and support.

My dad was a member of IBEW Local 104 as a Journeyman Lineman since January 1, 1970. He was a proud and honest man and loved being a part of his IBEW family. He was the happiest when he was working in the field and enjoyed teaching the younger generation, not only how to work safely, but also what it meant to be a good union member.

As many of you know, I come from a family of IBEW Local 104 members, this trade he carried down to his brothers, sons, and nephews. This just exemplifies his love of the trade and his 51 years of service. Through the years, the stories, the memories of Tabor and I working with our father have been one of the greatest experiences of our lives. We treasure our memories, the stories he told and the hard work, but also enjoyed the camaraderie with all the people on this journey!

Many of you have been inquiring about services for my dad. They are holding a private ceremony in Florida, but we plan to bring him home and have a Celebration of Life in the Spring. IBEW Local 104 will post this information on their Facebook page when a date is determined.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the National Sisterhood United for Journeyman Lineman to provide emergency financial, emotional, and physical assistance, in cases of work-related injuries or death.

Again, we are so grateful for the honor and respect that you have given to my father during this difficult time. We can’t thank you enough.

Yours truly,
Tiler F. Eaton
